Hey All!
Well, after spending this past weekend in Calgary doing ONLY wedding things, I have a few updates:
1. We have the invitations. I changed my mind from the original ones that we picked out- but this time we have the perfect ones. They are going to be beautiful.
2. I've decided on a decorator. We met with this lady this weekend who has awesome decorations for really really decent prices. She gave us (mom and I) a TON of ideas, and with everything being so inexpensive, we've decided to make a few decoration changes. All I can say is, it is going to be beautiful.
3. I've booked the florist. After thinking about the pros and cons of each company--I decided to go with the Florist that is right by where I live. They do one delivery (which will be nice for Lawrence and his family) and then my Dad or Kevin will pick up all the bouquets and bring them to our place. The ladies there are just so nice, and I know I made the right decision.
4. I also met with a Cake Lady this weekend. She is the sweetest thing ever. She is a little old lady who does wedding cakes out of her home. She listened to exactly what I wanted, and it giving us a really decent price, and she is going to deliver the cake and set it up for us. Like everything else...it is going to be beautiful.
5. We got the Bridesmaid dresses this weekend. They are GORGEOUS! Enough said. The girls are going to look so beautiful...I'm just so happy.
6. My friend Rene is going to be doing the DJing for us. I'd asked him over Christmas if he would be willing to do it, and he wasn't sure at the time. After attending the Bridal Show yesterday and seeing how expensive DJ's were, I called him last night and he pretty much said, "I'll do it call me in 3 months!" What a great guy. I totally trust his song judgement, and I know he will do a great job.
7. Mom, Kathleen, Alanna, Lindsey and myself also hit up the Bridal Fair this weekend. It was really fun and interesting to see all the different wedding ideas and such. We got to sample some cake, and watch a fashion show. By the end of the 3 hours I was, "tuckered" out. All the girls got, "I work for Bridezilla" stickers. Personally, I don't think I'm that bad...I mean, I could always be worse! Anyway- we all had a great time, and I walked away with a HUGE bag full of brochures and coupons. All in all, it was a great day.
Well, that is pretty much it. Things are really falling into place. I'm really quite impressed (as are a lot of people) that I have so much done already. But what can I say, I'm really organized and I'm really excited!
That is all for now. Keep checking back-

Words
Hey Everyone!
Nothing new has happened since the last post, but as the days tick by, I am getting more excited. Today I was looking at Wedding Vows- wow, talk about emotional. I was getting all teary just reading them- imagine what will happen when I actually have to speak! We are meeting with a Bishop at Lawrence's chruch on January 20th, so I'm hoping to have a template of the ceremony worked out so that I can show him what we would like. I am also in the process of trying to find someone to do the cake. I know before I said that my friend's Dad was going to do it, unfortunately that won't be happening, so I'm desperately trying to find someone else. No worries though! I've also started looking into the "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" thing. It is proving to be a little more challenging then I had initally thought. I have the "something old" and the "something new". The "something blue" is covered by the garder- but the borrowed thing is difficult. I must think on it some more...I'm sure something will appear.
Well that is all for now I guess. More to come...keep checking back!

Happy 2007 Everyone!
Happy New Years everyone! We hope everyone had an great Christmas and an exciting New Years. Lawrence and I had about 2 1/2 weeks off and most of it was spent relaxing and hanging out with our families. New Years was spent running an 8km resolution run then enjoying some family, friends and games. It was really nice- a really great way to spend Christmas holidays. We headed back to Lethbridge yesterday and school started today...so we are back in the swing of things.
Now-- onto some Wedding Stuff!
As I wrote before Christmas, we secured a venue at Heritage Park. We went to the '12 Days of Christmas', and Lawrence got to look around an see where we will be getting married. Exciting! We also met with a photographer, loved her work and booked her to do our wedding. We are both very excited about it. My mom and I also went and looked at wedding dresses, which was quite overwhelming. Trying on all sorts of beautiful dresses, and seeing myself as a bride was pretty emotional. Kathleen (my maid of honour) came out with us one day and we tried on a few dresses and made a few decisions. I've also met with two florists and am still waiting to hear back from one. Hopefully I will be able to make a decision within the next few weeks. I want to get that booked pretty quick here. The cake is taken care of as well. My friend Ashley's Dad is going to be doing it for us. I'm really excited because I've seen what he does for her birthday cakes, I just cannot wait to see the wedding cake! We (my mom, wedding party and myself) will be going to the Bridal Fair in Calgary on the 21st, and I am so excited about it. It will be a day of wedding stuff!
Well that is all for now. I have to take a tad break from Wedding things and focus on my school. Getting a lot done over Christmas was my plan so that I could focus this semester and keep my GPA at a good level so that I can get into the Education Faculty.
I plan on updating this regularily so keep checking back-
Happy New Year!
Love,
Erin and Lawrence
PS: 232 days until we get hitched!!!
